Route 3 is full of trainers so we’ll be working on leveling up Thor and Catrina. Thor gets some nice levels and Quick Attack! Catrina evolves into Nidorina and we make it through the trainers and arrive at PokeCenter… where there’s a man selling a magikarp.
With that taken care of, it’s time to enter Mt. Moon.
Mt. Moon is teeming with action: wild pokemon, hidden items, Team Rocket grunts, and even rare pokemon! Oh my!
We continue through Mt. Moon in the next episode as there is just that many interesting encounters in Mt. Moon, and a bit of backtracking for more healing in my case. It took me quite a long time to get through the cave because of this, but I finally made it to the Moon Stone!
Nidorina evolved into Nidoqueen!
Some more fumbling around in the cave brings us to more Team Rocket Grunts guarding two fossils. Defeating them allows us to pick up a fossil pokemon, and I agree with Scykoh’s choice and pick up the helix fossil as well.
Eventually I do make it out of Mt. Moon and onto Route 4. I’m so glad that’s over. My pokemon are hurting.
