Pokemon Yellow | Part 02 & 03| SarahPlays

So now we have pokeballs and can actually start catching pokemon! Yay! Well, an NPC gives us a lesson on how to do that and we’re off to the next area, where we do some pokemon catching.

Scykoh catches a Nidoran Male and names it Curtis, I catch a Nidoran Female and name it Catrina. I did say that I wasn’t exactly following along didn’t I?

Then it’s time to enter the Viridian Forest.

Where we do some swap-training, try not to die from poison, and pick up some useful items. After halfway through fighting the trainers we need to go to the next video as this one is pretty short, but covers the catching of the pokemon, and explaining why we should do so.

Making our way through the second half of Viridian Forest we encounter more bugs, more trainers, and a SECRET POTION. Then we’re at the end and back on Route 2 just before entering Pewter City.

A couple of quick stops at the PokeMart to restock our items and then the PokeCenter for heals and to rearrange our party members and we’re off to explore the Pewter City Science Museum! It has a space exhibit! and pokemon fossils! and a moon stone?!

Then it’s finally time to challenge the Pewter City Gym.

After defeating the trainer at the entrance it’s time to face Brock, the leader of the rock type gym in Pewter City. His Onyx is tough but down it goes and we get our first gym badge: The Boulder Badge!
